Small steps to reduce energy consumption

- Always run the dishwasher and washing machine with a full load.
- Turn down the hot water thermostat (120°F [49°C] is usually sufficient.
- Insulate your hot water heater.
- Buy energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs
- Insulate your home.
- Install energy-efficient windows when you build or remodel.
- Purchase energy-efficient appliances.
- Do not overheat/overcool rooms.
- Buy minimally wrapped goods.
- Drive efficiently or trade in your Landcruiser for a fuel-efficient sedan.
- Do not waste water.
- Recycle.
